What to Expect from Sony’s PlayStation 5 Reveal
Microsoft recently announced the full specs of its Xbox Series X, including details about the console’s improved controller. We’re expecting Sony to do the same as the PS5’s Lead System Architect, Mark Cerny, will be presenting “a deep dive into the PS5’s system architecture, and how it will shape the future of games.”
Seeing as E3 2020 is also canceled, Sony may choose to reveal the final design at today’s event, but will likely restrict this presentation to hardware specs.

The specs we’ve seen for its competitor lead us to assume that the PS5 will be a massive leap forward in terms of power, if not functionality and usability. The Xbox Series X features, 16 GBs of RAM, a custom AMD Zen 2 CPU with eight cores clocked at 3.8GHz each, and a custom AMD RNDA 2 GPU with 12 teraflops and 52 compute units clocked at 1.825GHz each.
